| Demonicon is a technical death metal band hailing from Minneapolis
Minnesota. Their style of music could best be described as harmonized
brutality. Their dual vocal assault and vicious mixture of technicality
and slow pounding riffs will be an onslaught to your senses, and will
devour your mind and soul.
In 1997 (under the name Dominion) they put out their first CD entitled "Soul’s Redemption". It received consistently positive reviews from the underground. But because of financial constraints they were forced to limit the release to only 2000 CD’s which all sold worldwide. In 1998 Demonicon recorded a three-song demo before the 98 Metalfest in which they gave a powerful performance, and eventually helped get them signed to ROOT OF ALL EVIL Records. After a final line-up change in 1999 they went back into the recording studio. In 2000 Demonicon released "Condemned Creation" their first full-length album which has received rave reviews from the 2001 Metalfest, underground fanzines and magazines such as S.O.D., Transcending The Mundane, Rue Morgue and Wormgear. DEMONICON went one to play both the 2001 and 2002 Milwaukee Metalfest as well as the 2002 Chicago Deathfest. In September of 2002 DEMONICON was hit with another departure. BILL HEDAL decided that he no longer wanted to be in a band. The band decided to replace Bill with 2 people. PAT MORRIS on bass and BRANDON ALMENDENGER on vocals. Now in 2003 with the help of ROOT OF ALL EVIL Records DEMONICON will put out their third full-length album. This album will be more disturbing, heavier and darker than before and has spawned new life into the band. If persistance is the key to success than DEMONICONshould have a long and healthy life. Unfortunately, due to throat problems Brandon Almendinger had to leave the band in 2004. DEMONICON vowed to continue on with both Brian and Pat handling the vocal duties untill a suitable replacement can be found. SUPPORT THE UNDERGROUND!!!! | ||||||
